As we near the end of another year, I want you all to know how much the Friends Of Wyneken appreciate your help and support! It's been a year of some significant milestones for us, particularly the transfer of the title of the land to the IGHS (FOW).
As I'm sure all of you realize, the IGHS, and the FOW, probably wouldn't exist without the contributions and sacrifices of time, talent, and money, of many of it's members and supporters. In this case, the beyond words generosity of the land donation by one of our founding members, Dona Schaefer, has made it possible for us to have a permanent home for the irreplaceable Wyneken House.
Other milestones this year included permits, surveying, hearings, drawings, bidding, and more; all necessary things to keep the House moving ahead toward the eventual fulfillment of our vision.
At the same time, much physical work was accomplished on the House; much of it to get it back to the condition it was before years of neglect and plunder. Obviously much, much more remains to be done, but we're getting there, one nail, one brush full of paint, and one rebuilt window or door at a time!
We have much more we must accomplish in the coming year, but we all believe that with your continued help, advice, and support, we'll get there.
