101, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 25, 2016. Born Aug. 8, 1914 in Weilbach, Germany to the late Gottfried and Clara Scholl, he was proud of his German heritage and very active at the German American Klub, the Southside Turners, Heimath-Preussen, and the Federation of German Societies. He also was a member of Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite.

He was a longtime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. He retired from Goodman Jewelers after 55 years. Frank was very musically inclined, and enjoyed playing the harmonica.

Survivors include two daughters, Joan Grubbs and Sharon Scholl; two grandchildren Jennifer (Adam) Wheat and Scott (Kellie) Foster, four great-grandchildren, Tyler & Jackson Wheat, Brian & Lauren Foster. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie, son-in-law, Jerry Grubbs and sister, Rosemary Wesner.

Visitation: Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4 – 7:00 p.m. at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Ave. The funeral service will be there at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions: German American Klub or Immanuel United Church of Christ.
